Our Story

Chicagoland Animal Rescue

Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP is organized exclusively for the rescue, care, and adoptive placement of primarily cats. We rescue abandoned and unwanted cats through veterinarians, animal shelters, animal control facilities, and family relinquish. Chicagoland Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run organization. We are able continue our efforts due to the generosity of our community, donors, and adopters. Since starting as C.A.R. in 2003, we have placed in over 2,000 cats in loving adoptive forever homes.
