Amistad Unhomed Initiatives breaks barriers for unsheltered individuals seeking shelter, rehabilitation, and essential hygiene items. The Amistad El Camino a Casa Program (ECAC) takes a unique approach by providing Intensive Case Management to individuals in need. The goal is to create person-centered plans that improve a client's quality of life for long-term success.
The program is comprised of four components: 24/7 Street Outreach, Rapid Re-housing, Homeless Prevention, and Permanent Supportive Housing.
Intensive Case Managers are proud to serve the community as the only 24/7 Street Outreach Program in El Paso. Our team members provide individuals with a warm meal and transportation to shelter any time of the day including nights, weekends, and holidays.
As a continuation of service, Intensive Case Managers assist with document recovery such as identification, social security cards, and birth certificates, which are essential during the rehabilitation process.
Clients receive personalized plans that connect them to healthcare, social services, mental health, substance abuse treatment, and housing.
The goal is to equip individuals and families in crisis with long-term solutions that work for them.
Funds raised from this campaign will greatly assist this program, particularly with the rising cost of fuel and maintenance. As we enter our 5th year of service for this program, our goal is be proactive with the rising population of unsheltered individuals in our community.
This requires us to increase our canvassing footprint in various areas of the city and increase our inventory of hygiene items. Funds from this fundraiser will be used to assist with fuel, vehicle maintenance, food items, and hygiene items.
