Our Story

SPCA of East Texas

SPCA of East Texas is a foster-based animal rescue serving Smith County, TX, and the surrounding area. Its mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in society. SPCA ETX is an independent nonprofit agency and is not affiliated with any state or national membership organization. The nonprofit is proud to have facilitated the adoptions of 967 animals in 2025 through its local rescue program as well as its transport program, which partners with similar rescues in northern states to find homes for animals in need.
