Auburn Valley Humane Society

Auburn Valley Humane Society (AVHS) and Northwest Spay & Neuter Center (NWSNC) operate as an integrated, community-centered animal welfare system that addresses both the symptoms and root causes of pet homelessness. AVHS provides compassionate sheltering, adoption services, and individualized support for animals and families in crisis, while NWSNC delivers high-volume, affordable spay/neuter and preventive veterinary care. Together, they form a total animal welfare model that prioritizes shelter diversion—keeping pets with their families whenever possible through access-to-care, medical intervention, and early support—while ensuring humane, lifesaving outcomes when sheltering is necessary.
